Patrick and I played out the game for "IT HAS BEGUN..."

The turn by turn battle report (with lots of photos) is up on my blog now.

Commander's reports to follow soon.

Enjoy the report, it was an absolutely spectacular game, honestly the most fun I have ever had playing 40k.

+ THE REBIRTH OF A CHAPLAIN +

It was the silence that awoke him.

The cold steel of the table in the Medical Facility onboard the battle cruiser only seemed to aggravate his injuries.

Rorex found himself hooked up to a number of machines and monitors, each one recording his vital signs and monitoring his present condition. This was no place he needed to be right now.

“I will to speak with him as soon as possible then. There are a number of important people that have some questions for the Chaplain.”
“Yes sir, that will not be a problem” the medical servitor told the Inquisitor.
“You will advise me immediately when his condition changes then.”
“Yes sir, that will not be a problem.”
“I will wait for your call, but keep in mind… I do not wish to wait long.”
“Yes sir, that will not be...”

Just as Inquisitor Feridagh turned to walk away, the bulkhead door to the Recovery room slid open. Rorex never could walk through the narrow doors straight on and now the doorway seemed to be even smaller despite the fact he had no armour on.

Rorex’s shadow stretched out into the hallway touching the Inquisitor, he froze in midstep.
The utter look of disbelief on the face of the servitor gave away the thoughts of both men standing there looking at the Chaplain.
To see a man who had been recovered from the battlefield only 5 hours earlier with the fatal wounds he had… walk out of the recovery room, sent a frightening chill down the Inquisitor’s spine… one he could not shake.

“I will take the sword now.”
Inquisitor Feridagh couldn’t believe what he had just heard.
“I don’t believe that will be pos……” his sentence cut short by Rorex grabbing his neck and slamming him into the corridor wall.

“I will not tell you second time” Rorex whispered into Feridagh’s ear.

TIME FLOWS LIKE A RIVER
CEASELESS IS MY TORMENT
DESPAIR IS MY HOPE
SORROW IS ALL I WILL EVER KNOW

Kresh and his chosen walked towards the Bridge on the the Sword of Terra. The battle of echo post three will no doubt go into the logs of Templar history as a victory even though the only survivor was the Chaplin. Kresh chuckled at the memories. He had finally rid himself of Icariux. Leaving the Demonic sword embedded through the chest and secondary heart of the Chaplin Rorex. His last words to the Chaplin were still fresh in his mind. "May you now know the pain and torment that has been mine alone for the past decades. Enjoy your time in hell and welcome to the brotherhood." Kresh hefted his replacement power sword taken from the Emperors champion getting used to its feel as they entered the Bridge. High priest ELkor sat in the Captains chair overseeing the tasks for the next warp jump. As Kresh approached the chair he took in the Granduer of the Bridge and his Children working about. "Priest I will need this fine blade properly consecrated for my use." ELkor looked to him and said Indeed Lord Kresh I will have my First take care of it for you." "O my friend I insist that you take care of this for me personally"....With a Blurr of movement Kresh struck Driving the Power blade through the Priests body and impaling him to the Captains chair. The Look of Utter shock and disbelief was written all over his face. Kresh looked out over the Bridge and voiced the words of Horus "There is only one acceptable level of achievement..." You failed me priest....Your life is no longer. Acolyte Take his body and turn it into ash and vent his ashes into space. We have an empire to rebuild......The Helmsman spoke ..."My Lord.....We have a distress call from Chaos forces on Hive Krole.....They are requesting assistance"...."Excellent Prepare for battle...Execute reversion Alpha one..." The Sword of Terra rotated about and Launched itself into Warp Space.

IT HAS BEGUN.............
"I'm sorry I don't remember that......you see for me it was just Tuesday"

"It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level."
